COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION
In 2017, Swissvale Cares, Inc. took over operation and management of the Swissvale Community Food Pantry. The organization distributes monthly allotments of food to individuals and families with a demonstrated need. They serve approximately 200 families or more than 450 people a month. They do this with a completely unpaid staff that requires 35 people donating 200 volunteer hours each month. Visit Swissvale Cares.
